Ron San Angelo - Served as Mayor of Naugatuck,
Connecticut for 4 years, a State Representative in the Connecticut State
Legislature for 10 years and as a Sales Representative for over 13 years. He
now serves a Governors appointment to the Connecticut Department of Information
Technology.
Working
in government and sales has given Ron a tremendous amount of personal
experience in dealing with all kinds of unique personalities. He has given
hundreds of speeches to various organizations and citizens on all types of
important issues.
As
a Mayor,
he provided the necessary leadership to develop and pass at referendum a $700
million dollar Development Agreement with a major developer to revitalize his
hometowns business district. Motivating hundreds of employees to accomplish the
goals and objectives of his administration was a significant aspect of his role
as Mayor.
As
a State Legislator,
he was instrumental in bringing people together to pass important legislation
on such controversial issues as Gun Control, Campaign Finance Reform, and
strengthening of Ethic Laws. As a Minority Leader in the House of Representatives,
he was able to bring both political parties together in a sprit of
bipartisanship to accomplish his goals.
As
a Sales Representative, he was consistently at the top of the organization with
regard to his performance and his ability to help customers understand their
needs and desires when obtaining products. Often called upon to train new employees
he utilized his experience to build a sales team that excelled in their field.
Family, coming from a large working
class family of eight children taught Ron at a very young age how to deal with
people from all occupations. He can easily talk to top government officials,
business executives, or even to the leader of the local motorcycle gang if
necessary. He takes a great deal of pride in his ability to work with all
people in order to accomplish his goals and objectives.
Education, Ron holds a Bachelors
of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State
University and is a Project Management Institute, Certified Project Management
Professional.
